The ALU that I assembled with a schematic diagram from the internet seems to perform a pattern of inputs and outputs while on. I am still not sure how it works.

    tbis thing is huuuuuge, and it's only 1-bit. Now look at the size and speed of our 29-bit adders, subtractors, and even multipliers and dividers.

    Currently, it works best with heat simulation off

    It's not very compact. It would be more efficient to use INST, however alterations to the individual logic gates would be necessary.
