Just a quick demonstration of how to do this without compression. I didn't spend long on this, there's lots of room for improvement. Free to copy without credit, provided you make some changes to it or use it as part of a larger save.

    There is no compression in this save. You can check by using !set type phot none, then deleting everything with Ctrl+right mouse drag. This deletes one layer of particles only, yet leaves nothing behind.
