  Political correctness is stupid. Texas was not a part of the south. It could just stop listening to the US, but not cecede.

  texas is screwed but we are sucssecful.... we the south may have surrendered but the ghost of lee can still see us fight the civil war..... i know people from nabraska think that they are tough but witch state kicked mexico's a$$ in taking territory... and avenging the alamo...... we won the mexican war..... if we haddent we would have much of texas....... so texas kicked a powerful militery's a$$..... with just a small army...... so you tell me that texans dont kick a$$... i will gladly chalange a nabraskin to see who would fall....

  You do realized Texas is screwed in a civil war vs. the US. And yes, I think there will be a civil war too, down about 100 years. If the US is still here. And there never was a declaration of war.

  This falg also means that finally people stud up for what they beleived in and fought for it.. we risked our lifes for our cuse... yall (the north) faught us because yall though we were a thret so we were only protecting our land.... sure we fierd first but we didnt declar war.... and if we (texas) wanted to we could sussed from the nation.... the only state that still can and we could sucssed as our own nation... for as we have before.... we can also do it because it was never passed or ammended that we couldnt succed like all the other states.... oh and i can gerente that there will be another civil war... were just going down that path....

  That was it, Srry. My Hisory class is on WW1 right now and I forgot all about the Civil War.

  Fighting over crops, and it was not over slavery. I forget hat the crop was, not corn but ahhh, ahh well. Actually, people freed their slaves to fight in the civil war. The south wanted independence. "Rebels" Although, if this would have happened, The US would not be as powerful as it is now and probably not be the way it is. Like the 4000 year civil war in (Someplace I forget) YEah, Its good the North won.

  the civil war was also not fought over slavery.... in fact if it was the confedercy would have droped there guns and surrenderd..... most soilders that fought for the south didnt have slaves or let theres go.... we were wearing of the grey we had fought for our cause of freedom..... defeat is not dishoner.....
