The "Nuclear Update" add nuclear stuff like: Radium| Fast neutron decay. Graphite| Slows neutrons down to 3.2 Pixels a seccond. Control Rod| Use PSCN to extend NSCN to Retranct allso absorbs neutrons. Lead Absorbs Protons. Amercium| Decays fast like radium. Radon| Radioactive gas.
Code Changes: All radioactive elements now Decay. Plutonium spilts in 2 neutron, and 1 proton with a chance of being replaced by a neutron (58%)
Notes: Devs do not have to add all elements this update just adds nuclear elements and elements which absorb protons and neutrons with decay. Developers may remove any element.
What would all of these elements do more specifically? ice(FRZW) is very effective at slowing down NEUT, and GOLD can slow down NEUT too, radium is just polonium, and control rod is just PSTN with VOID attached to it, LEAD is just VOID(prot), and americium is the exact same thing as radium? PLUT splitting into 2 neutrons and 1 proton would more than likely break a lot of reactor saves, and I dont personally see any use for radon.
Returning to my first point, elements need to have a very large amount of uses nowadays for them to even have a chance of being submitted, LITH, for example, can be used to create a vast amount of things beyond batteries, examples include HYGN generators and calculators, what uses would your other elements have besides being realistic, TPT is not about being realistic, its about being a fun game to play with a very large amount of possibilities.
freeze water cools down also
Tbh, for the suggestion to have a chance to be added, it needs to be coded.
Anyway
Radium, americium: same elements. If you want something that emits more NEUT than POLO, you use CLNE(NEUT) (But something like powdered CLNE is a good concept in my opinion).
Graphite: solid neutron moderator, seems to be interesting ( @IEATDIRT GOLD absorbs some NEUT. Also GOLD slowing down NEUT seems to be false).
Control rod: literally PSTN with VOID, as said earlier.
Lead: VOID(PHOT), as said earlier.
Radon: radioactive gas, interesting.
"Code changes" will break a lot of saves, what developers try to avoid.
huh, I always thought that gold slowed NEUT down
Looking at the code, it does not slow neut down, just has a small chance to kill it.

I feel like graphite should work in a very similar way to coal, with it burning and becoming a powder, as well as creating a small heat and pressure burst when put into a reactor before it starts to be a neutron moderator.
the whole point of lead, and control rod is to avoid using VOID.
@Electric_Engineer (View Post)
why would you need to avoid VOID, you can set VOID's ctype to something to stop it from eating everything except for that element
I get not having indestructible elements in saves, but as long as you don't spam the void, it's fine
TTAN absorbs 10% of neutrons that it encounters, why not use that?
use mercury and ceramic for control rods
to absorb protons use polonium and converter so plutonium get converted back to polonium or u can use plutonium for fuel
seriously why u need to absorb protons when none of reactions related with plutonium creates protons
