I would like to bump the question of photons of different speed again. Could this be fixed? It actually hurts me, seeing photons traveling at different speeds.

Wow! This is something like the third request for more realistic photon behavior that I've seen! In less than a day too! I agreed with the others and I have to admit that I agree with this one too. Oh, by the way, your LCRY idea is now official for 40.0.

Photons that all travel at a universal speed would be nice. I don't seem to be able to get photons to travel at any other speed in 39.0 though. o.O Hasn't this already been fixed?

*Nevermind that, found a creation of mine that does it. I'd thought it was due to particles being displaced by one another, though, not a different speed of particle.

Cool, can't wait to hack light beams with LCRY

I'm glad I could be of assistance (lol it was one line of code )

One good line of code! Isn't it great how complex behavior arose from the simplicity of a single line of code?

it would be awesome if we can put "light" element and it should iluminate other things and it should be in "special" elements :B

    bump

does anyone have an answer on this? Reflected photons still loose speed compared to newly created ones

Part of this is that the photons transfer some of their energy to the object that they reflect off of, which is fine except for the fact that they lose velocity, which is something they should maintain if they are to be called photons. Also, photons transfer energy to each other when they collide, which they shouldn't do (see forum topic "Better Photons").

Well, if it were to be realistic some photons would get reflected, and some not.
