    The drag is for a density of 1 million atoms per cubic centimeter. Actual densities of the interstellar medium may be far less, reducing the drag by an amount proportional to the density. (For example, typical interstellar medium (1 atom per cubic centimeter) would produce 1 million times less drag.)
